Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the meaning behind the band name "Spermatic Chord"?

A: There is no particular meaning. Adam got inspired to misspell the anatomical term "spermatic cord" as a band name while dissecting the inguinal region of a male corpse during an anatomy dissection class.

Q: Is SC a band?

A: As much as we'd like to be, we're actually not. SC is just a collective of random HK musicians who all happen to have some things in common.

Q: Why is the lineup different for every show?

A: We are just a collective of random musicians, so it depends on who is in HK and who is actually available.

Q: What happened to all the old songs?

A: The concept of "songs" becomes boring when you have rather short attention spans (like us). We prefer to randomly improvise and jam to see what sort of junk gets crapped out of it. Plus we're too lazy to write or compose anymore.

Q: Why is your music so noisy and incoherent now?

A: Because it is beautiful

Q: What are those headless guitars and basses you guys play?

A: If you haven't heard of Steinberger (the best guitars in the world) then you suck.

Q: What are the band's musical influences?

A: Nothing in particular. Most likely a mixture of bands that either sound amazing or recklessly terrible.

Q: What type of music do you guys play?

A: We don't know.

Q: Is there any new album coming out anytime?

A: Maybe, or maybe not

Q: How did Adam learn to play double handed tapping guitar?

A: Go learn drums.

Q: How often do you guys practice?

A: Practice? What is that?

Q: Do you guys even practice?

A: Not anymore. No time. Too busy and lazy to do so.

Q: What happened to your vocalist auditions?

A: That was a huge joke/scam. Thanks to those who participated. It was great entertainment listening to your shitty attempts.

Q: Are all your songs named by numbers or binary code?

A: Not all of our songs are named by numbers, we actually have a song called "Intestinal Necrotoboggan Praising the Scandinavian Bloodlusting Sathani amidst the Necrorectum and Satanic Demon of Svalnecrograth"
